‘… , is that I was vaccinated, and doubly boosted, and I believe if I did not have that degree of background protection I would’ve had a much more serious course.‘

Or maybe wouldn’t have got it at all… like me, unvaccinated, unboosted, un-doubly boosted, unmedicated, not masked.

The extent to which they twist and turn lest the story collapse or admit they were wrong would be entertaining if it weren't so serious! 😡

I’m 70 so quite a youngster. But don’t forget we have been protected by all those jab-junkies around us, apparently vaccine induced immunity is infectious so as long as others are vaccinated we can catch vaccination from them so don’t need to be vaccinated ourselves in order to be protected… it’s ‘the science’.

This is what I told my needle happy friends. When everyone else is vaccinated, I will be perfectly safe, because you all won't get it, and neither will I. But they did not believe me and ran for boosters... I still hope that, like me, they don't get it. Because they might give it to me!

I am right there with you. I have stayed clear of the poison and therefore have remained in the trim. My vaccinated and double boosted daughter ,however, is now 2 weeks into suffering with the Omicron infection whereas as an unvaccinated person she stayed clear of illness even when both of her roommates caught the SARS-2 virus 2 years ago. Over my objections, my son and daughter-in-law vaccinated both of my 2 year old grandchildren each of whom has now had fever and general discomfort. Some visit.

I did my best to keep them informed why kids should never be injected with this stuff to no avail. And I am married to a woman who drank the kool-aid so no support from that place. Nothing but crying day and night since last Saturday when the girls got jabbed. My daughter in law even gave one of them a COVID test instead of just realizing that the kids have fever as a consequence of the vaccination. Those poor little girls are in for 2 more injections. I hate to think about how damaging this will be to their immune systems. And these kids will be home schooled so the vaccination makes even less sense. No doubt when they are all ready to leave and head for the other grandparents the girls will be fine. Only my visit will have been wrecked. And then they return to Texas.

When Covid started in Winter 2020/21, there was a period, where many people at my work, including me, had mild flu-like symptoms, like sore throat, low energy etc. for a week or so. Similar at my father's work.

I now suspect that Covid may have already infected a good portion of the German population by that time. And according to the German Board of Public Health, Covid hasn't measurable affected the normal cold/flu waves in the past years in a way that we would notice without actively testing for it.

So even the variants close to the Wuhan one weren't bad enough for anyone to notice, except the hypochondriac "measures" our glorious government started only in early spring.

Expand full comment
nunnya damn bidnez's avatar

Actually, Covid started in Winter 2019/2020, two and a half years ago.

There wasn't much testing available the first couple of months, but by May 24th 2020 the Governor of New York State, Andrew Cuomo, announced that random testing of several thousand people in NY State had shown that 19% of the population already had natural antibodies due to previous infection. This was at least eight months before the vaccine was available (December 2020, after the US elections); if nearly 20% had natural immunity in the first five months of the pandemic, then I would assume that at least double that amount would have natural immunity by the time the vaccine was rolled out. And yet, there was never any recomendation to test each person for antibodies before giving them the shot. Why would you take a shot if you were already naturally immune? There was however, an enormous pressure to to get the nasal swab tests, to see if you were "positive"; this drove up the percentages of "case numbers", which was used to scare people into obeying lockdown orders and mask mandates.

Probiotics help make sure your gut has the right bacteria.

It has not returned.

Oh ya they would tell you I am immune compromised because of my auto immune disease.

I take probiotics supplements 2 or 3x /year.

Expand full comment
Martha's avatar

Just curious, why don't you take them every day?

Expand full comment
Christina S.'s avatar

Because it’s not how this works. It’s not necessary. A healthy diet is enough to keep your gut healthy.

Supplements are what their name say: supplements. They can’t replace balanced and healthy nutrition and shouldn’t be taken 365 days/year.

If you have never taken probiotics and had antibiotics at some point, it is possible that you need them as these drugs kill all bacteria, good and bad.

In a year, I had two otitis and a bacterial pneumonia. Probably my gut health was already poor and the antibiotics were the nail in the coffin. After 2 weeks taking them I felt a big improvement in my general well being.

At the end of the summer I’ll take them again.

I always do a lot of research before I decide to buy and take a supplement and I think that everyone should do the same. What’s good for me might not be for someone else (age, sex, treatments already being taken and so on).
