Omigod I hope you are right. In Canada, BC, masking has been lifted for a couple of weeks but there are people crying to have it back. The heavy handed mandates scheduled to end April eight. But there does seem to be energy here to carry this farce further. I’m still a fringed on society.

I hope you're right. In California, there was so much opposition (supposedly from unions), that the principle sponsor of a mandate for all workers in California pulled the bill, but said it was being postponed. I don't think this is going to be let go, and I'm afraid it's going to show up in a "gut and amend" bill, where they swap the contents of a bill sitting in a suspense pile, and rush it through without much of an opportunity to oppose it. (They have truckers coming from DC to here to oppose a huge batch of bad bills - see https://unityprojectonline.com/take-action/ ).
If he was a heroic warrior for freedom we'd see him differently. Then again, he probably wouldn't look like that either. It's strange how ideology seems to affect appearance, or is it just my imagination?
Considering how easy it was to impose the oppression, for the benefit of the one percent of the one percent, aren't you concerned about a second wave, based on something even more scary than SARS-CoV-2, particularly considering that world economics appear to be in rapid descent?

It is incredible how we gotten used to this illogical disregard of human rights in those last two years.
Why should +50 be mandated, when we conclude that +18 don't have to?
This total absence of even trying to make sense is awful.
Of course, if +50 will be mandated, in the winter everyone else will be as well. After all, it would be unfair...
And every politician who votes for a +50 mandate knows that he is also voting for an +18 mandate, and eventually +0 mandate.
That picture is proof dispositive that physiognomy is valid.
