Is there anything more ridiculous than the statements public officials make every time one of them tests positive? They all have to reassure everyone that, yes, they’re supervaccinated; yes, they’re self-isolating at home; yes, their symptoms are mild.

Aside from the passing amusement of seeing a hysterical virus botherer infected despite every precaution, literally nobody cares. No journalist will ever follow up to see if Gates is OK. Not a single person anywhere expects that he might come to harm.

It’s a strange dissonance: On the one hand, we’re expected to maintain a permanent war-footing against this very dangerous virus; on the other hand, not even Gates cares that it’s replicating in his airway.

Maybe it’s time for celebrities, politicians and loser philanthropists to shut up about their infection status.

Also I can’t stop laughing about this guy, Gates’s sole sycophantic well-wisher:

Colbert having to shut down his show twice in a few weeks is pretty priceless, considering his show had the Dancing Jabs sponsored by Pfizer. It's all so Pfantastic.
