Pantsuit Plague. Well put.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

Might be his best since "VACCINATORS". I still laugh at that one 6 years later.

The pantsuit plague is easily diagnosed. They're the people who need instructions on shampoo bottles.

Chartertopia's avatar

And don't follow them.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

I wouldn't follow poopy pants either!

She has talked to all of the leaders except the two that are trying to save the world - Israel and the US. Saving the world might be a stretch but protecting their countries from Armageddon is important to them. That’s why they lead. Because we know they can.

The EZ Rider's avatar

I'm guessing she tried but had to leave voice-mails and they haven't bothered calling back.

Israel and the US trying to save the world,by setting it on fire. Two of the biggest dangers to the planet.

Chartertopia's avatar

They sure do have their dangerous moments, but Iran has been fighting Israel and the world since 1979. That revolution should have been enough payback for the US's 1953 replacement of a democratically-elected leader by the Shah; but Iran has been paying it back for the last 47 years and trying to create nuclear weapons, and the ordinary common sense you seem to lack knew Israel and the US were never going to accept that.

Jits and Weights's avatar

No idea how the Iran strike will pan out... but it is insane to me that now that Trump is calling the shots instead of the Washington Blob, the American military is suddenly a terrifying force to be reckoned with instead of a messy, incompetent bull in a china shop. A billionaire real estate playboy is somehow more effective in foreign policy than the smartest people in the room with decades of experience.

Suzie's avatar

Experience at never having done anything real or substantive in their entire lives except maintaining the imaginary “rules based order”, which boils down to bowing and scraping and bending the knee to all the worst people in the world.

Space Hamster Boo's avatar

They have decades of experience because they never resolve anything.

Wim de Vriend's avatar

Exactly. The Iranian nuisance got started by clueless, unlamented Jimmuh Cahtah, and remained unresolved through half a dozen presidencies, the worst of whom was Obama who sent them pallets of cash.

ThePossum 🇬🇧's avatar

Depends on the objectives. The blob has been very successful at increasing its size, reach, and bank accounts.

Trump wants to wrap this all up before the markets open tomorrow, and before the Europeans even bother getting around to talking about it.

I wonder if he is really thinking in such deluded terms. It’s possible

SimulationCommander's avatar

Midnight Hammer went the same way.

kapock's avatar

That’s the problem: that he doesn’t get how different the situation is this time

Lydia Lozano's avatar

I think it is hilarious that you and your little twinkie friends think you are smarter than Trump is.

SimulationCommander's avatar

Trump is still listening to the very intelligence community that's been trying to sabotage him for a decade.

Lydia Lozano's avatar

I wouldn't be so sure, but neither would I assume that I am smarter than he is. Hubris, dudes.

Henrybowman's avatar

Or maybe he's listening to Benny's, who have too much of their own skin in the game to play stupid TDS politics,

Ad hominem attack. That's an intelligent and useful retort.

I would not presume to guess what Trump is thinking or planning. But nothing is more uncertain than war and its outcomes. Plenty of room for differing analyses and views. Unless, of course, you are pretty sure that Trump is god.

Andrew Marsh's avatar

Twinkie means a rather pretty male model in some parts of Europe....

Mystic William's avatar

He’s sooo stupid. He understands nothing. And while it is true every thing he does he succeeds at, and his policies work, it is a fluke! Or it is him piggy backing on Biden’s geopolitical mastery. Right?

Henrybowman's avatar

I read on Vox that Trump has to hire illegals out of the Home Depot parking lot just to keep the autopen greased.

Quakeress's avatar

Why do you think it's deluded to try to keep the stock exchanges stable?

Joy Filled's avatar

But first the markets drops, all the puts that were initiated on Friday by his cronies sell, then they buy calls. Tomorrow is going to be a orgasmic money maker for many globalists, especially the Americans including senators and congresspeople.

Is Paul Pelosi still making brilliantly successful investments with near 100 per cent success?

Henrybowman's avatar

It's just his new strategy of using Democrat Rules against them.

John Lake's avatar

God, I hope so.

the long warred's avatar

He’s already said it’s going all week.

Sen Cotton says weeks.

In fairness Iran can’t make a deal now there’s no government, so meantime they’ll have no nuclear facilities, Navy, Missiles or Air Force to play with, if they insist on being tribal raiders very well, they can keep Toyota HILUXs and Machine guns like their neighbors they’re so romantic about… and the answer to Tribal Raiders (besides extinction) is always punitive raids.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

lmao. It has nothing to do with Iran. It's all about the Orange Cheetah Nazi. i did hear, just now, that Iran's navy has been downgraded to paddle boards tho

The hypocrisy is breathtaking. Obama deported 4 million illegals. He bombed seven countries without congressional approval. Where was the outrage then? Barack Obama executed 500 drone strikes, which killed civilians. Americans were also killed. Americans were on Obama’s kill list, also known as the ‘Disposition Matrix.’ So, please, EU retards spare us these lectures about the legality of the strikes.

If anyone thinks this is just about Iran they are naive. This is mainly about oil, specifically cutting off China's access to Iranian oil.

- Trumps actions in Venezuela was deeply connected to oil - both geopolitically and economically

- The humanitarian and energy crisis in Cuba is directly tied to the loss of Venezuelan oil

There's a connection to oil....but it's a complex one that mixes energy geopolitics with security and regional dynamics.

Personally, even though I'm a libertarian, and adamantly opposed to war, I still find the world a safer place today.

Demeisen's avatar

Oil? I've heard renewables and batteries can replace everything. Surely that can't be false.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

ha! exactly.

The green scam never had anything to do with protecting earth.

It was so the elites could control all the energy in the world so they could determine whether you could bring life into this world.

CorkyAgain's avatar

Some people can only climb to the top by pushing everyone else down.

Remember, these are zero sum thinkers and intend to be on the plus side of the ledger.

Wim de Vriend's avatar

There's a chance of it, if you can wait a hundred years or so.

Warmek's avatar

Well, I made an ass out of myself in the comments... somewhere (maybe here?) as regards to Venezuela, so, ideally I'll manage to avoid that this time.

It's hard to imagine the world being a significantly worse place with the Theocracy of Iran gone. Now, whether we'll actually achieve that is still up in the air, even if we got the top couple guys. On the flip side, I do also recall that we ended *up* with the Theocracy of Iran because they overthrew the guy we put in place after *we* overthrew Mossadegh. So hopefully there are no repeat "unintended consequences" for this one.

Suzie's avatar

A lot always depends upon who’s doing the overthrowing.

Take our own American Revolution for the prime example.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

You didn't make an ass out of yourself. Who knows how it all works out.

But I do think this has to do with oil...and choking off Chinas economic ponzi scheme.

the long warred's avatar

There’s absolutely the wrinkle here that the 60% enriched Uranium Iran had means 95% of the work to get to weapons grade is done.

It means you need 5% of the effort to go to 90%, which means 5% of the machines, centrifuges, electrical power signature and a much easier to hide facility.

A small warehouse size target instead of a very large complex.

The last part of making the bomb even smaller.

So that is a real angle, they couldn’t be allowed to finish.

The Great Resist's avatar

“i did hear, just now, that Iran's navy has been downgraded to paddle boards tho”

lol! I also heard they now have a bunch of new submarines.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

You just made me laugh with your last sentence. Good one!

Henrybowman's avatar

"Personally, even though I'm a libertarian, and adamantly opposed to war, I still find the world a safer place today."

Same here. Except for Mexico, and maybe what we see today is that finally getting shaken out, too.

"The hypocrisy is breathtaking... Where was the outrage then?"

Today's reeeeeee: "Three of our servicemen are dead!!1!"

My response: "So then, roughly a third of the servicemen Democrats killed just trying (and failing) to 'peacefully' get hostages back from Iran.

"Poor Democrats — always believing that 'we tried' is an acceptable substitute for “we did.”

Ferg ferguson's avatar

All of this is connected …Venezuela was about world drug trade and open borders …Maduro had a chance to make a deal, kohemama had a chance…FAFO…

kapock's avatar

When this war is over they should strike a medal of valor for all who were subjected to Ursula von der Leyen’s phone calls

SCA's avatar

I'll paraphrase what I said on SimComm's post--how I was just reminded how big the oceans are when recent news had mentioned it was going to take two weeks for a US ship (airplane carrier?) to reach its destination in the ME.

If you don't have an empire someone else will and if they control the shipping lanes your nation becomes their vassal, one way or another. If the US doesn't control the shipping lanes China will.

There's nothing new anywhere. Take all them crazy Shias and ultra-Orthodox Jews out of it. There was a Persian Empire trying to gobble up all its neighbors back when their rulers were Zoroastrians and there's never been peace in the Middle East no matter what cult is the current fashion, and having enough power to keep trade flowing through wherever the waters stream is the lifeblood of civilization.

I knew people whose lives were destroyed by the Shah and people whose lives have been badly harmed by the regime of the mullahs so I don't imagine any sort of happy modern secular future for Iran. The Kurds, the Azeris, the Balochis aren't going to have welcoming tears in their eyes for any iteration of a return of the King and the usual crazy communists there won't either.

But taking out the mullahs' money spigots will be pretty meaningful for the possibility of a business alliance between the various Arab kingdoms and Israel and that could certainly end up saving a lot of lives here, there and everywhere.

And--to all the oligarchs of the world who thought a place like Dubai could be their safe cozy playground--great thinking, guys. You didn't have enough money to buy yourselves some maps?

Pat Robinson's avatar

I think if Iran ends up inwardly focused and the funds to all the terrorists stop, that is enough positive for today.

I’ll take that win.

SCA's avatar

There are never enough non-crazy people in that part of the world and Iranian leaders have already moved tons of money abroad and they can keep making mischief indefinitely, and if they find the doors slammed on them in the Gulf now because they were stupid enough to fire drones at Fancy Commissioned Architecture they'll find expedient hosts in Moscow and Beijing.

But this had to be done anyway. Let's hope for the best.

Pat Robinson's avatar

First step of a journey and all that

Something I've noticed here in the US is that even if there are reasons to oppose the operation in Iraq (I myself agree with it but I'm sure reasonable arguments could be made against it) there is no one in the democratic party who can articulate those reasons. The democrats have so besmirched themselves with their every day inane commentaries that nothing they say can have any credibility.

They really don't have all that much time left before they entirely run out of viable illustrative examples.

Henrybowman's avatar

I think they've pretty much convincingly made their case that what Trump did is a violation of the same War Powers Act that both Obama and Biden also entirely ignored.

usNthem's avatar

What Trump should be doing is taking out demoncrapic leadership - they’re far more dangerous to this country than Iran by a long shot…

Suzie's avatar

Cannot argue with that! 👍
