I liken our current situation to the Harvey Weinstein saga in Hollywood. Everyone knew this man was a predator. They knew he was a complete hypocrite. But they looked the other way for years.
What changed the dynamic?
When a critical mass of people found the courage to stand up and call Weinstein out for what he really is. That didn’t happen overnight, but when a tipping point was reached it emboldened the cowards to finally join them and take action.
I think a similar phenomenon played out with the American Revolution. Initially, very few supported the uprising against the Crown, but as the revolutionaries met with success, it encouraged those on the sidelines to get off their asses.

They want to be told what to do, and rewarded for it, and punish people who think differently or resist. Its amazing to me how many of these citizens were children of the 60s, were protestors, arrested for it, and now support Brandon or JT with their Dictator level mandates, as well as actions to freeze the financial accounts of people who are protesting. We're leaving as soon as we're able.

What's somewhat frustrating for me is that I live in a MUCH more conservative and sane area now. People are mostly living normal lives here, but far too many still buy into the vaccines are the solution and masks work narrative, even if they aren't terribly hostile to those who think otherwise. And I truly believe a huge part of that problem is that most of them have been vaxxed. And they simply don't want to admit or even consider that maybe they made the wrong choice. It's going to be really hard to change the hearts and minds of a critical mass of adults when that critical mass is 70% or more vaxxed. Even those that had adverse reactions don't want to blame it on the vaxx or think it was worth it because at least they didn't die of COVID. It's like trying to convince a mass of people who all got the same ugly barbed wire tattoos that they'd have been better off without it. Not gonna happen.
In Ontario Canada the PM literally said this week "everyone's getting covid vaccinated or not" and we are talking about doom central Canada. The narrative is effectively collapsing.

My partner and I are unvaccinated and omicron was a breeze. I had muscle aches and a runny nose for 3 days, then felt tired for a further 4 days. My partner just had sniffles for two days. Meanwhile, my partner's recently boosted sister and brother-in-law (a couple years younger than us) both had fever, headache and other debilitating symptoms that really took it out of them for over a week.

I'm pretty sure, it's all about how good you are at vaccinating those most at-risk of dying. These are people who are going to die anyway, and they're also as a rule harder to vaccinate (because they live at the margins of society, they're shut in, etc.).
So if you're bad at vaccinating them, they die and count as unvaccinated deaths, and the vaccines look AMAZING.

It was obvious during the Delta wave that vaccinated people are the true spreaders of the virus, but because back in October we had only 34% people vaccinated, it was easy for the authorities to fake the data.
These aren't vaccines. These are weapons of mass infection and bioterrorist tools.

During the Delta wave, when data could still be faked, a lot of people became afraid of the virus and went to vaccination (this is why the ratio increased rapidly from 34% to 42%). But today everyone is seeing that Omicron is litteraly "the pandemic of the vaccinated". And now people AVOID the vaccines... When Omicron arrived here, around January 1st, many resistants were afraid that a new fear-porn chapter would open up and people will go again to get the vaccines, and we'll become a minority. And, indeed, between 1-10 January we had a little vaccination rush, with more than 8,000 newly vaccinated on January 8th, but then people began to understand little by little that Omicron is "the pandemic of the vaccinated" and they chilled down. In the last 2-3 weeks the average number of the newly vaccinated was around 1,500 / day (including those with fake certificates :)))) ), with a negative record on Feb. 13 when only 691 unique people (including 90 children under 12) choose to get vaccinated. This is why the government announced a couple of days ago that the vaccination centres will be closed and soon the vaccination will follow on through the network of "family physicians". Apparently, they... surrendered. Now it's time to lift the restrictions, too, and everything will be like it was before this madness, except the new "iron walls" erected around each EU country by Ursula von der Leyen's travel rules.
My Bulgarian friend says it's similar there. The EU is now lucky to have several "control groups" that can call out the bullshit being peddled by France, Germany and others. Unfortunately, nations towards the east don't have as much clout and influence :/

Can we extrapolate from that and conclude that those catching covid in the weeks or month after their booster get sicker and/or stay infectious for longer? Would not surprise me.
My partner and I are unvaccinated and omicron was a breeze. I had muscle aches and a runny nose for 3 days, then felt tired for a further 4 days. My partner just had sniffles for two days. Meanwhile, my partner's recently boosted sister and brother-in-law (a couple years younger than us) both had fever, headache and other debilitating symptoms that really took it out of them for over a week.
That's not even close.
Numbers alone cannot express how well these shots work. All future reports will be released in 128 pt. Font declaring: they are safe and highly effective.

That is a requisite of Covid Science: There MUST be jiggering of definitions.

Here’s what leaves me scratching my head: we all know the vaccines essentially work the same way across populations and nations. So why is data from Scotland so different from the data coming out of other countries?
For example, the data in the US is COMPLETELY different, with most hospitals showing unvaxxed being 12-15x more likely to be hospitalized and die. How on earth do we reconcile this with the data coming out of Scotland?
Is it the case that Scotland is a relatively “unsophisticated” country and not adept at manipulating data the way the US and other larger western countries are? Was Scotland just doing an unfiltered data dump because it didn’t have the “skills” to tweak its data?

I'm pretty sure, it's all about how good you are at vaccinating those most at-risk of dying. These are people who are going to die anyway, and they're also as a rule harder to vaccinate (because they live at the margins of society, they're shut in, etc.).
So if you're bad at vaccinating them, they die and count as unvaccinated deaths, and the vaccines look AMAZING.
If you're good at vaccinating them, like Scotland, they die anyway and count as vaccinated deaths, and the vaccines look not so good, excuse us for a second, we need to do some modelling to prove how awesome they actually are, but in a hidden way, etc.
It worth mentioning that even if you DO vaccinate them, and they die before some arbitrary time (14 days after 2nd dose, I think), they magically are also counted as "unvaccinated." Ain't it grand how statistics and definitions are twisted to suit desired narratives and images? Really bolsters your faith in the system, doesn't it? 😶
