Conferences over, finally.
I am happy to report that I took advantage of a coffee break to slip out the back door of the most boring panel discussion ever visited upon humanity. Alas I am too tired to post anything clever right now, and I haven’t had a chance even to read the news for a few days. But, my personal purgatory is over with, and regular posting will begin tomorrow, or at the latest Sunday. Thanks for sticking with me through a dry period.

How is it that academia can take even the most intrinsically fascinating subject matter and suck all of the fun out of it. It's something I've marveled at since my first year of university. Dullness is the academy's greatest crime against the intellect.
