
There are reportedly 209 civil suits pending or in preparation in Germany seeking compensation for vaccine injuries. Two are further along than the others and offer hints as to how this will pan out.
One, in Rottweil (Baden-Württemberg), features a plaintiff named Dietmar S., who experienced serious neurological problems the day after his second dose of BioNTech/Pfizer’s Comirnaty. He had transient difficulty remembering words and names, and ultimately lost most of the vision in one eye due to anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, or an eye stroke. He’s seeking 150,000 Euros in compensation for pain and suffering, and possibly additional material compensation. A judgment isn’t expected until September, but the chief judge in the case has already indicated he’s inclined to find against the plaintiff, saying there can be no compensation if the overall risk-benefit ratio favours vaccination.
