Fuck Twitter, seriously. Substack is better.
Musk has actively made it worse. If I have to leave it, I will.
I’m sorry to be crass but this really matters. Many of you have long been banned from Twitter and no longer care about the circus theatrics that unfold there. Nevertheless, it’s an important node in the social media network, and it’s how I came up.
Recently, Twitter has rearranged its code, such that links to Substack cannot be liked, retweeted, or commented upon. This is very likely an act of retaliation upon Substack for daring to announce their coming Notes feature, which (to be honest) looks like a somewhat better version of Twitter.
That’s why they’re mad, and you know what? That’s fine.
Twitter has done nothing but give me puzzling unpredictable bans and sanctions since I’ve been online, they’ve done nothing but punish me for delivering them my level-best content.
Substack has done the opposite; they’ve always been a friend.
Twitter can literally eat my asshole.
The first rule of everything, is loyalty to your friends. Substack – despite some disagreements – has been nothing but a friend to me. It is the first platform I've ever contributed to, which bothered with that at all. Makes you think.
You don’t want Twitter to to eat your nether regions. You don’t know where it’s been.
