Are they going to call old people next winter and remind them to wear winter coats in their unheated houses, when the power is turned off due to climate blackouts?

Glad you brought this up. This is all caused by white privilege induced climate crisis. I’ve just come up with a breakthrough, I’m hesitant to reveal it here, but will do so in order to save lives. It’s called the “sweater”. It covers your torso and upper extremities. You put it on when it’s cold and it warms you up. You take it off when it’s hot and you cool down. I think if we build thousands of sweater stations staffed by graduate students in gender-climate-racism studies, all masked of course, , we could teach people how and when to use sweaters and we could have a supply of sweaters- some button down and others pullover to give to the undersweatered of color. If we tax the rich to pay for the program, nobody will ever be without a sweater again. We could then set up a Ministry of Sweaters to deal with climate crisis. This is top secret. So don’t share this highly technical information. Thanks.

Expand full comment

Next winter will be a pandemic of the unsweatered!

Expand full comment

If you refuse to wear a sweater, you’re responsible for the deaths of those around you.

Expand full comment

But I can remove it while eating, right?

Expand full comment

The Ministry, which we formed immediately upon recognizing the SCIENCE and public health benefits of sweatering has determined, after exhaustive testing in our minds, that the safest thing to do is wear the sweater while standing and walking to the dining table. Upon

sitting, pull the sweater up over your head and then cut a hole out of the sweater over your nose and mouth. You can then eat. Reverse the process upon standing again. This is accomplished thusly: After eating, please apply the Ministry approved Sweater Port (TM) available from the nearest Sweater Station in 12 designer LGBTQ4/3piRCUBED approved pastel colors. Instructions for legally compliant port placement are downloadable in PDF format from the Ministry’s website at: DeutschesVolksministeriumfürPullover.de

Yes, we tested the sweaters on 4 hamsters, continuously monitoring their hypothalamic thermoregulatory center activity with functional MRI using gadolinium contrast to measure blood flow and labeled radioisotope glucose for metabolic activity during rigorously controlled sweater challenges in both hot and cold environments. The findings were unequivocal: ( P< 0.00001, Hamster Sweater Chi R Squared- Lebowski test) Sweaters increased likelihood of survival under all ambient temperature conditions by over 3% with a 27% margin of error.

Has it something to do with how this generation has been brought up?

Expand full comment
Jun 15, 2023·edited Jun 15, 2023

People in my generation were not paying attention to their children, what they were learning in school (for most kids practically nothing), what they were watching, the amount of time they spent on their devices, their social interactions (few and far between). We assumed everything was OK. We let pigs and perverts like Randy Weingarten run our schools. The result is now before us. 0-35 year olds who don't read, can't multiply 7 x 3 without their phones, have no concept of history, who are susceptible to any form of manipulation involving their "trigger" issues (the world burning up, a black person in distress, garbage floating in a river, two men holding hands, etc.). Show them any of those icons and they will follow you anywhere.

They are lost and we're not getting them back.

And in a few years these same ignoramuses will be our governors, lawyers, doctors, engineers, and public policy experts. These same barely literate sheep will be designing bridges and roadways, managing our supply chains, flying airplanes, and performing surgeries on "male persons" and "female persons" alike.

Debacles like the train wreck in Palestine and the roadway collapse on I-95 outside of Philly will be weekly occurrences.

So the short answer is "YES".

They must think we are darn stupid...

But I would not overestimate the willingness of the people to rise against the state. At least not here in Germany. Many people are quite ok with an oppressive state, who seems to take care of their security.

After all, we saw that they were willing, and many very eager, to lock themselves down and take experimental novel vaccines because they were afraid of the flu.
