True but the human body still has limits regardless of the climate you are accustom to. Acclimatization determines one's comfort level and not what their body can actually tolerate. I'm surprised to here that concern of deaths in Germany when it usually peaks at 30 Celsius is even a thing. Yes I can see why Germans would find 30 very uncomfortable but not death causing.
Wow that's only 86 in Fahrenheit which is not even considered hot in most of the US. Here in Texas it can reach 100 and then some. Then again if you are accustom to 30 being a high then it will feel more uncomfortable to you then someone who views 38 as hot.

True, but even (or perhaps especially) the apathetic won't do shit that's too inconvenient.
It is certainly a race between enforcing the totalitarian state and people getting wise to it.
But I would not overestimate the willingness of the people to rise against the state. At least not here in Germany. Many people are quite ok with an oppressive state, who seems to take care of their security.
After all, we saw that they were willing, and many very eager, to lock themselves down and take experimental novel vaccines because they were afraid of the flu.
I might be fine with an oppressive state, too, as long as I thought they were at least rational. But these clowns seem to have declared war on everything that's good.
Covid was just the testing ground to see how far they can go.
Precisely WHO is going make these phone calls? A bunch of over-paid government bureaucrats?
Not only is this more government intrusion into private lives, it's a make-work program for government workers who have nothing more productive to do.
Perhaps no nation needs so many government workers. Wow. Whatta concept.

If the jobs are well paid, staffed by people with useless college degrees that are aligned politically. If the pay is average, a work program for replacement Germans.

Domestic air conditioning is fairly rare in Northern Europe. If summers are getting hotter then surely air conditioning would be something that public health would want to see wider take up of?
Not to mention the benefits of improved ventilation for avoiding Corona, aspergillus etc
That was years ago. Nowadays, air-source heat pumps are everywhere here in Sweden, well not in apartment-blocks but on houses.
People just set them to +16C anduse them as AC-units instead.
Or open a couple of windows.
I can guarantee you that that will not happen in Florida.
The health ministry has developed into a new power center and now their top people are working hard to wedge themselves into every issue to keep relevance. I think welfare was first, immigration, now climate, I anticipate there will be a call for a health-based foreign policy next.

Maybe it's a government job scheme. You have all that whole level of Covid bureaucracy. If those people are fired, the budget might go down. They can't do anything useful, have them call seniors during hot weather. Mostly harmless government workers

Often wondered the same. How did we ever survive childhood without all of the elaborate, (and expensive!), safety gear that is now mandated for virtually ALL activities? How did we reach adulthood in the absence of yellow lines to tell us where to drive, or park, on our gravel roads and parking lots?
It is always appropriate to exaggerate risks, you know, in an abundance of caution.

High temperatures force the heart and lungs to work harder.
Every time I was in Germany during the warmer months, I was surprised with the lack of a/c in many shops and stores.
It just doesn't get all that hot in Germany, generally only a few weeks every year have temperatures above 30 Celsius.
This is my response to fellow New Englanders who are aghast that I do not own an air conditioner. I do not need an air conditioner for, on average, FOUR DAYS in July. Windows are open, to catch a breeze, and I have fans to circulate air.
An appetizing no-cook supper is a bowl of fruit or a salad.
I live in an arid desert environment where temperatures are well above 100° F (38° C) for at least two months every summer. I have no air conditioning. I'm 69 years old. Most of my neighbors spend the summer cooped up indoors with their air conditioning. When I go visiting, I have to take a jacket.
I confess that two months of 100+ degrees would cause me turn on an a/c. But people become accustomed to a climate,

True but the human body still has limits regardless of the climate you are accustom to. Acclimatization determines one's comfort level and not what their body can actually tolerate. I'm surprised to here that concern of deaths in Germany when it usually peaks at 30 Celsius is even a thing. Yes I can see why Germans would find 30 very uncomfortable but not death causing.
Wow that's only 86 in Fahrenheit which is not even considered hot in most of the US. Here in Texas it can reach 100 and then some. Then again if you are accustom to 30 being a high then it will feel more uncomfortable to you then someone who views 38 as hot.
I made the same observation. And so many people seem to survive!
And of course, the culprit is another phenomenon that conveniently cannot be addressed through individual responsibility but rather requires a global response, coordinated by self-annointed elites: Climate Change.
