Meanwhile, four weeks into the Omicron wave, deaths and hospitalisations continue to fall.
Karl Lauterbach, German Health Minister, explained a few days ago that vaccine mandates are actually all about freedom:
I believe that doctors should vaccinate anyone who wants to be vaccinated because of the mandates, or anyone who wants to be vaccinated because they freely choose it. No one will be vaccinated against their will; the vaccine mandate will simply lead people, ultimately, to accept voluntary vaccination.
We are four weeks into our Omicron wave here in Germany. In this country of 83 million people, a grand total of 631 people are in the hospital with confirmed Omicron infection. Thirty-five of them are in the ICU, and 27 have died (p. 28, Table 5). This is why we have to abolish bodily autonomy.

Herr Lauterbach needs get out more. He should spend a little time on Twitter and look across the Atlantic witness the thousands of Americans who took the vaccine under duress, under pain of losing their livelihoods, only to see the OSHA mandate struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court. This tyranny must end everywhere.
German Health Minister's comments are strangely nonsensical. Are there mandates or not? Or did they just redefine "mandate."
