And don't forget the corollary to that, which is "rules are for thee, but not for me".
But politicians like Sziborra-Seidlitz are only a symptom. The people who actually vote for politicians like her are the true problem. How divorced from reality does one have to be to accept these double standards and flimsy excuses?
AfD and the Greens need to find bipartisan agreement. The Greens are hostile to Israel as it is currently located. AfD is, like the Trump regime and US Republicans, Israel First. Ahmadinejad proposed the creation of a Jewish or Zionist nation in Austria and/or Germany. A compromise could be the creation of a second Jewish state in Austria and Germany. This would be just, considering that Austria and Germany were responsible for the Holocaust. It could also provide a bulwark in Europe against Islamic extremism.
Kudos to you for choosing such a flattering photo of Susan, who from any other angle resembles nothing so much as a toad in thick makeup. Truly, you have a noble spirit 🙏🙏
So she is the cosmic twin of our Heidi Beirich of the Southern Poverty Law Center? These dreadful women really do utterly fulfill so many unfortunate cliches.
It is highly probable that Theeeee Lead Candidate for the Green Party in Sachsen-Anhalt, Susan Sziborra-Seidlitz-F'tang-F'tang-Biscuit-O-lay, is going to add to the surname to ensure top billing on the ballot.
Susan will need at least 1 litre of vodka to deal with the inevitable electoral loss.
I just want to know when, where and why the bat-signal went out that all women on the left must wear hideous eyeglasses and why they cannot resist the wavelength.
Funny you mention Dame Edna. I was thinking the other day how acceptable minstrel shows were when they were minstreling women. I really liked Eddie Izzard until he went full Norman Bates and decided he'd spend the rest of his life being his mother.
That's very perceptive. Totally agree. Young Izzard was a handsome man with great humour, and then he decided to become a thespy politician. La Izzard is not so good as a politician.
I know. But there's a difference between being a 20-yr-old moron and a woman of mature age. Or there used to be. It may be that there's only a handful remaining of us women who are of or attain *mature* age.
Well. I have not started wearing rayon shirtwaist dresses with black lace-up oxfords and with the invention of velcro straps I live in confidence no one will ever force my feet into such horrors of old-ladyness. And I do still wear the denim skirts I bought at The Gap close to 40 years ago, with tasteful black leggings underneath.
So I must leave to others to determine what degree of maturity I bat-signal.
Antifa thinks being inherently unattractive means only the korrect people can ever fight their way past the huge pile of visual obstacles. The apparent success of this strategy has not been studied yet.
Though the evidence of photos from my younger years might be humiliating, I never *tried* to look hideous. Some of the fashions were hard to avoid. Now we have plenty of choice.
I read our most smug newspaper today, Dagens Nyheter (Daily News) and came upon a whopper of an article about the AfD having a real chance of taking the majority in the upcomng election.
To boil down the article's analysis, the essence was the success of the AfD comes down to:
Trump.
It's Trump's fault, because he uses nationalist-coded language and that has legitimised nationalism in European nations. The French and UK equivalents to AfD?
Also Trump.
Now please excuse me while I go outside to have a chat with my bone-splitter axe.
... I think I might try to sell splitting bones with an axe as a method of anger management-therapy.
It is amaingly calming to pick up a length of bone (from leg of ox/cow), position it on the chopping block, and then in one fell swoop of the axe split it length-wise.
And the dogs aren't complaining any either about getting a piece of freshly matured marrow on top of their normal fare.
Yes, I skimmed the EGM-text earlier, and while EGM is always a worthwhile read I find Trump's re-naming schtick tedious, obvious and childish - same reaction I have when people here (in Sweden) correct me when I say "Gypsy" or "Peking" or "Negro" instead of "Roma", "Beiing" and "Black person".
I dunno but it feels a bit . . . beneath him to fuss about with such antics now that he is again president, I guess.
Over a half century ago, I lived next door to a professional wrestling commentator. He, and his performer colleagues, were the epitome of class - compared to the professional commentariat and performers in modern politics.
The most interesting bit was at the end, when he points out that Trump's larger-than-life circus ringmaster persona is vital to the Dem side. And also that once Trump is gone, the Dems will be bereft of an opponent.
I wonder if there are any Republicans intelligent enough to exploit that when the time comes?
Ideally, Trump's successor should be a more fatherly, stern-yet-loving and almost quietly serious type, to make the contrast to the Democrat hydra's sectarian spasming as stark as possible.
Not only is SS-S wearing rose tinted spectacles regarding her husband’s former fealties, but she seems also to be sporting a partially hidden “dodgy tattoo”. Or am I being unkind, and it actually depicts a dove of peace holding a rather leafy olive branch?
This is so unfair... there's like this endless supply of goofy(-looking) politicians in Germany that puts other countries to shame. Like "yeah, Hillary (Michelle, AOC, Kamala) is terrible, but at least she isn't Susan Sziborra-Seidlitz". Or "geez, you Americans are so whiny, at least you don't have Susan Sziborra-Seidlitz"... man, I guess I should be counting my blessings.
If Germany were not already the laughing stock of the world this might make it. But it already is. And the UK is even worse. And now our friend former Hungarian sees his former country join the group of countries that forcefully have to open borders to the hords storming Europe. We are both glad we left years ago, but hold our hearts for our families still in the old country.
In the US it was recently reported that an executive officer at the SPLC and "fascism expert" - "Dr" Heidi Beirich - had not only been paying literal white supremacists money (over $1.2 million over the years) in order to both collect "intelligence" and also to take initiative and stir up the kind of things they could report on for scaremongering donation-fishing. But in addition to that, at some point she started sleeping with one member of "National Alliance F9" and ended up sharing a home and two back accounts, so some of the money she was sending out the institution's door was coming right back in her personal door and she was using it to pay for her own expenses. Note that this guy was not just a neo-nazi in the past, but probably up until the moment of recruiting and perhaps to the present day, who knows. I shouldn't, but it's hard to look at articles with a large photo of Heidi and then come across the description of evidence as "voluminous" without chuckling.
Always accuse the other side of what you are doing. Never fails.
And don't forget the corollary to that, which is "rules are for thee, but not for me".

Oh, she's a real babe, isn't she?
I am sure her family greatly appreciate Susan.
So she is the cosmic twin of our Heidi Beirich of the Southern Poverty Law Center? These dreadful women really do utterly fulfill so many unfortunate cliches.
Hope she gets rekt.

Hypothesis:
They saw Dame Edna on the telly back in the day (well, the semi-old to older generation) and thought:
"If a man in that style of woman's clothing can be that popular, I too can be that popular if I just look the part"
Funny you mention Dame Edna. I was thinking the other day how acceptable minstrel shows were when they were minstreling women. I really liked Eddie Izzard until he went full Norman Bates and decided he'd spend the rest of his life being his mother.

the ridiculous glasses, like purple hair, signal to others what tribe you're in, so its a form of shorthand.
Could it be a form of warning plumage?
It is warning plumage indeed. If this is coming toward you, avert your own eyes and steer away.
yes, that's how it functions for the sane people doomed to encounter these types.
I know. But there's a difference between being a 20-yr-old moron and a woman of mature age. Or there used to be. It may be that there's only a handful remaining of us women who are of or attain *mature* age.
Despite being of "that age", I spurn any accusations of maturity.
Well. I have not started wearing rayon shirtwaist dresses with black lace-up oxfords and with the invention of velcro straps I live in confidence no one will ever force my feet into such horrors of old-ladyness. Well, ha! I just made the same exact statement about glasses hahaha hahaha
It is difficult to keep a straight face with these people. How much do those glasses weigh? When will the color turn blood thirsty RED
Some of them *are* wearing red-framed ones.
It's all a plot. An Antifa plot.
I understand about signaling coloration and all that, but I still do not understand the relentless capitulation to hideousness.
Well.

Today's El Gato Malo post has an interesting take on this; it's worth the plod to get through to the end.

Sometimes I feel like we're living in a professional wrestling broadcast.

I almost miss the days when everything was "Bush's fault".
Heh, yeah - and the music was better, the girls prettier and the beer tastier!
Can you imagine JW Bush renaming Mt Rushmore?
"Mt Bushmore"
HA!
Not only is SS-S wearing rose tinted spectacles regarding her husband’s former fealties, but she seems also to be sporting a partially hidden “dodgy tattoo”. Or am I being unkind, and it actually depicts a dove of peace holding a rather leafy olive branch?
What ever it is, I refused to see it.

Ding ding ding hyphenated last name detected.
Extra points.
I look forward to the Sunday elections. Should be interesting.
Edit to add: I look forward even more to the eugyppius report on the election.

Europe will be the leading exporter of laughing soup for decades with all the laughing stocks they have around today.
Great food for memes!
Is laughing stock made with split animal bones.
It is made by boiling your funny bone. Which you should never do. Because you'll make yourself a laughing stock.
In JF: "Ex neo-nazi marries Green politician. Neo-nazis outraged".
The visuals may be nauseating but there is *no* doubt in my mind her and husband engage in BDSM in leather SS uniforms.
Just to pile on the nausea then, do you think they call her private parts "Austria" and "Poland"?
And don't get me started on what him assaulting her "Red Army" is code for...
OK guys, you can stop now!
I don't need that imagry.
She might could have Nazi issues.
I did nazi that coming.
Lol 🤣
I'd say this was a honeypot conversion but, er, well ...

Woman moment.
