The AfD can use the same playbook as "Chat Control 2.0": they should keep on voting and playing procedural games until they get the result that they want.
I wonder if it ever has. In the European multiparty countries, it seems seldom that the person with the most votes, or even the party with the most votes, gets to be prime minister/lead of the govt. And here in the US, when someone 'unwanted' is in the winning lane, someone 'finds' a bunch of uncounted boxes of mail-in votes and the unwanted person loses. Why do we even vote. I stopped.
A very key aspect of the whole “rigging” project, in addition to screwing around with votes every which way from Sunday, is also to increase voter demoralization.
They are counting on a segment of the population, particularly that of the opposition party, to become exasperated to the point of not voting at all. So, someone choosing not to vote is considered a successful result in that aspect of their plan, making it all the easier for them to “win”.
Until the day voting is outright outlawed or simply altogether done away with, (a fever dream of the Left), I will continue to cast my vote and encourage all my friends, relatives and anyone who’ll listen to do likewise. Otherwise, you’re playing right into their hands.
Both parties do the same. there is just one party. We all know who rule the US. It is not the president. I will go vote for someone whom I think deserving of it. In the last 2, there was no one I thought worth waiting in line for.
If both candidates are objectionable, you can vote 3rd party or write in. That candidate probably won't win, but it does register as a vote and as disapproval. It is kind of like voting "none of the above".
I think that the fact that they have to win a popular vote, no matter how they abuse the process, reigns in some of the worst abuses and tyrannies.
Voters do need to get smarter about the tricks and the propaganda that is spewed at them for years, and esp in election season.
The Two Parties in the U.S. have certainly noticed that more and more voters are registering as Independents. Probably the one cause that more voters don't register as Independent is state by state restrictions on who can vote in primaries. In states like Colorado, where over 1/3 of voters are registered Independent, a voter cannot vote in both party primaries, but s/he can choose to vote in one or the other party's primary.
I try to imagine what the reaction would be if a significant percentage of voters cast ballots choosing neither TwoParty candidate. It might encourage voters and some political leaders to organize a viable Third party to unite behind.
In 1994 Californians approved prop 187 by 62 % . The proposition was to curtail the Mexican invasion by cutting off ALL public assistance including schools and housing .
I'd think no one goes into bureaucracy without the secret dream of being a little tyrant in whatever tiny domain he manages to achieve rule over. The remarkable aspect of this story is that a majority of the MEPs actually voted for the right thing.

I'd always been under the impression that the EP was basically a toothless, symbolic institution whose main real purpose was to provide additional jobs for rhetoricians and bureaucrats.
Mainly the function of the EU Parliament is to rubber-stamp the laws which are proposed by the European Commission which is led by 27 Commissioners, one for each member state. According to Google:
"EU law generally overrides conflicting national laws in areas where Member States have ceded sovereignty to the European Union, a principle known as the Primacy of EU law.
Under this precedence principle, if there is a conflict between domestic legislation and a binding EU regulation or directive, the EU norm takes priority. National courts and authorities are required to disapply the conflicting national provision to ensure European laws are applied uniformly across all Member States"
This was one of the main reasons behind Brexit. A majority of Brits wanted their sovereignty back, i.e. the ability to make their own laws, which I'm sure Americans would understand. Unfortunately, for the democratic Brits, most of their élite preferred Rule by Brussels and sabotaged the roll-out of Brexit. Today, the current British govt. is working to rejoin the EU, having already ceded its rights to EU member states to freely fish in British waters.
The whole European Union organisation needs to be disbanded. It is totally disfunctional. It serves only itself. Why do European citizens indulge it? Why do politicians like it? Why do German national politicians kowtow to it? Why do UK politicians want to rejoin it? A handful of absolute fanatical nutjobs with their own special projects get to control the whole continent and everyone is OK about it or simply grumbles into their coffee. Total civil disobedience across the whole of Europe is required!
Legislation like this is EXACTLY what Swedish voters wanted when we had a referendum on joining the EU in 1994! I'm sure it's the same elsewhere in Europe!!!

lost, not sure, but the totalitarian nature of EU is clear since long. All the core restrictions of individual liberties originates in the dominant German factions of EU.
This will end in two ways:
- either people become fed up and generate mass insurrection with bloody actions, like for instance killing the Albrecht, Von der Leyen, usw
- either the expected and planned full scale high intensity war of the USA-EU gangs, and this time there will be NO reconstruction of Germany.
