Remember: zoonotic origin is the strongest argument for hundreds of BSL4 labs, billions in funding, and status and prestige in virology for the next 30 years

Lab-leak origin = admonishment, shame, regulation, opprobrium, blame for the death of millions l.

They are highly, highly motivated to shift public perception back to zoonosis. Regard them with due suspicion and ffs treat gain of function research like the WMD that it is

The recent congressional evidence of Robert Redfield, former CDC head, is very damning and I wonder (because I am a "conspiracy theorist") if this latest resurgence of the market theory is in response to Redfield's evidence?

Not only did Redfield clearly affirm his view and presented the evidence that the virus was engineered (including insertion of the components for the cleavage site) but he noted 3 things that happened at the Wuhan lab in September 2019:

1. They deleted their records

2. They called in military management

3. They changed the air-purification system

As he said, any of these 3 would raise suspicions, having all 3 happen at the same time ...?

The head of the Chinese version of the CDC, Gao Fu, was a participant at the October 2019 "event 201" simulation that was so eerily similar to what started happening a few months later. He would have already known about what happened a month earlier at Wuhan.

And that nice photo of the raccoon is so cute and nothing like Peter Daszak.

Ghost written by Lord Fauci, no doubt.

They don't care - just keep polluting the water, confusing people to the point where everyone walks away, feeling it's impossible to get at the truth. All part of the distortion of reality that never ends.

There were two deadly nursing home outbreaks of unknown respiratory virus in July 2019 in the US in Virginia.

Burke VA & Springfield VA

Surely they have samples from that investigation

Well apparently Kristian Andersen has a penchant for writing fairy tales.

We know it's from a lab in Wuhan, via labs in Ft. Detrick and Winnipeg.

*Virologoids* is just the best yet of the epithets you coin.

I saw The Atlantic's article earlier today and my non-scientific lips were curling so hard I couldn't manage to finish my tea. Of course I had to stop them trembling first, thinking of those raccoon dogs turned into stew. It's not that I think any less of cows and lambs but some things really just should not be eaten by us; there is a perhaps thin but actual moral line crossed here and I have no fragility in condemning other cultures for some of their culinary choices.

Anyway. Perhaps the Chinese govt. is holding the bastard lovechildren of these guys in some unspeakably grim basement somewhere and forcing this continued performance. Or maybe it's just themselves they fear for. But no, they will not stop, nothing will make them and there's plenty of subterranean power streams making it very hard for them to cease.

strange enough the Atlantic put me off the jabs, when one of their reporters wrote about how sick her husband was from the shots. Already thinking not to get them that settled it. After that, the Atlantic lost all credibility (what can you do now you are vaxxed etc.) These are just people filling pages in a woke magazine that should have been shut down after the first mentioned. If people really got sick from being around animals, thousands of sicknesses should break out every year. Yet since they started that gain of function sicknesses break out year after year. Conclusion? I believe Xi when he stated the sickness originated from research done for Americans in Wuhan.(and in NC)

Why is The Atlantic the preferred media to splash this out in. That article was followed up by a New York Times urgent news release on it. This suggests the MSM is in on pushing it. But let’s see what the actual data shows, where is the preprint?

One other point from the Atlantic piece:

"At this point, it’s still unclear why the sequences were posted to GISAID last week. They also vanished from the database shortly after appearing, without explanation." Wu was unable to reach Gao (Chinese CDC) or WHO for comments. This is weird. Are these virologists being played?

LOL "Racoon Dogs". Next month it will be a "conspiracy theory" to claim Elvis and Sasquatch were not involved.

A big boy did it and ran away, to borrow the title of Christopher Brookmyre's novel: as likely as the latest wet market proposals.

Are the raccoon dog theorists able to explain the presence of the furin cleavage site, or the attempts of messrs Farrar et al, to suppress any troublesome lab leak evidence?

Anything published by The Atlantic can safely be presumed to only be there in order to further some narrative favored by the security state. So not even worth serious discussion.

But it does serve as entertainment, so there is that. Kind of like the story about how six folks and a boat took out Nord Stream. Good fun.
