No! You need to read it for yourself. You may see things Eugippius does not see and you may come to different conclusions. Never cede your thought process.
This is Soviet crap all over again. Every remotely scientific paper back then had a preamble attempting to rationalize how this paper on piglet survival statistics relates to the grand theory of Marx-Engels-Lenin.
The only difference is Bolsheviks first created a party and only then nomenklatura, but these guys obviously are forming nomenklatura first.
That was the great mistake by communists and such: spiffy uniforms, military parades, lots of fancy dramatic stuff all out in front. Masculine machismo stuff.
Made them an obvious target.
The current breed of totalitarians have evolved: they blend in and go for the feminine approach.
Not a jackboot to the face, but a pillow of love smothering you in your sleep.
The Nazi national socialists had prettier uniforms and their haberdashery (hats) was to die for :) Though the North Korean generals are no slouches in the hats department. Dittos for various Latin dictators.
I read that the Nazi top brass uniforms were designed by one Hugo Boss. I wonder how many people know that little nugget. Or that Fanta soda was developed by Coca Cola for the German troops in WW2. It appears that so many current mega brands have historical skeletons rattling around in the back of their cupboards...
And screams of agony should you dare to gainsay them, quickly followed by vicious attacks on your reputation and livelihood. Also very feminine: they won’t confront you directly, but try to turn others against you.
Live long enough and you will discover that the entire world-wide medical system is a scam. It is based entirely on the fear of death, real or imagined, and supported by promises from the medical terrorists that modern medicine can save you. No way am I ever buying into that rubbish.
We need separation of trauma care and "medicine"! Start by repealing Durham-Humphrey and revoking all intellectual property except trademark, and also licensing (permission to do something illegal without competent permission - FDA isn't "competent"). Require accurate labeling.
Most if not all of the medicines are nothing but toxic chemicals. A PhD isn't required to understand that toxins and carcinogens contribute to and causes diseases in the first place. But everyone is supposed to continue have hope and faith in that junk.
More complicated than that, not black and white. But very compromised. Doctors are punished for dissenting and culture encourages parroting these days.
The new lefty indoc and affirmative action angle is terrifying. Primary competencies are being compromised.
Caveat emptor.
You do make a key point lost on so many... Fear of death. We've regressed in cultural maturity about this. We treat life cheaply yet obsess about safety in medical and social contexts.
My synthesis is that we've become weak in so many ways.
I am not far off from your point of view. I design industrial machinery, and have it built locally (not offshore). It's like living on a different planet sometimes.
Do you find it as hard to earn money as I do? Making stuff is a poor career choice if it is money you are after. I gather these bullshit regurgitators are all pulling down six figures.
You're absolutely correct. If it was only money that I was after, I would become a diversity manager/DEI enforcer at some institution or large corporation. :-)
It is becoming more challenging to find good customers who won't try to ensnare my small business into writing diversity statements or other such nonsense. Many of the companies that I have worked for in the past have been swallowed up by the large conglomerates and become ever more bureaucratic. I worked with a large German company at one point who now wants me to agree to their global policy manual on child labour, as if such a thing was even an issue in my field.
The only good thing is that my competitors are waning as fewer are willing to put up with the nonsense.
"The powers that be are very bad too, but it’s important not to lose sight of the fact that their collective actions and statements are often just astoundingly dumb. Probably never in the history of humanity has stupidity been so abundant, and so apparently ineradicable, as it is now.”
-------------------------------------------
My empirical study conducted by living long enough to experience it not merely as anecdotal but as verifiable fact has taught me that even some really intelligent people can be resoundingly stupid.
We ought to try and look for the genetic advantage that allows some people to go through school with their common sense intact, while others lose theirs within the first semester of being exposed to higher education. This might just save humanity.
Me too. I kept dropping out until not being enrolled became the prevailing habit. I never managed to acquire more than a bare year's worth of credits in total and none of them were in useful subjects. Well, I take that back. I took a course in Old English literature and that was the best thing I ever studied of my own free will.
I’m a Baby Boomer and “a good education” was something our parents very much wanted their children to have because it was so hard for them to get especially during the Depression, an actual depression btw, when they were growing up. Because the academic standards had not yet been fully degraded yet (except for the jocks) any college degree had some value for one’s future because it indicated that you could be taught. Leaving out a lot here for brevity’s sake, the current worthlessness of the average college degree began with us Baby Boomers. I know because I was there.
But yes. Our generation produced a remarkable number of degreed women who, without any driving aim except that of getting a degree, became teachers. And here we are.
Oh, the-deity-of-one’s-choice 😏, am I coming down with Pronouns’ Disease?! Sounds worse than disease caused by prions mentioned elsewhere in Substack today. Already have Oldtimers. 😈
According to my niece and nephew I’m a dinosaur, a badge I wear with pride. They imply then that I could dig myself to which I replied that I already do, a 50’s historical reference that went right over their little pointy heads. 😏😂 I love being a geezer smart ass.
You think so? My observation is that all the people I know that resisted the covid nonsense HAVE a background of abuse. Which probably helped them to recognise it when it showed up with a different face.
This One Health initiative was cobbled together in much the same way programs at the US Department of Energy were put together regarding climate change. The labs and universities renamed existing research to sound like it applied to climate then wrote targeted proposals to bring in the money. In many cases they even pulled researchers from various fields and placed them into a new group/team with a new politically correct name with the intent to show the taxpayers they are forward thinking and will do all this "new" research for the common good of all mankind. It was indeed disturbing to watch but you can be assured these practices continue today.
So let me straw man this, for the sake of robust debate rather than a deeply held belief on my part:
Imagine you were to take a glimpse into army basic training.
You might see an awful lot of would seem like pointless, even “stupid” and mundane activity: marching while singing ridiculous monotone songlets, polishing boots, cleaning latrines with toothbrushes - in short very little that would be even vaguely suggestive of a modern fighting force.
Of course we know these “stupid” things have a very real point: they forge a sense of belonging, a chain of command, a certain discipline that can then be harnessed to get young men to charge into danger and ignore their own instincts for self-preservation (no rational thinker would storm an enemy trench).
What if the same is true for the One Health army? It’s real purpose could be to get the network; the fact that the network is populated with garbage newspeak is beside the fact; the important thing is the sense of belonging to One Health.
As evidence all I can submit is the eerie obedience to the narrative we already observed during Covid : the same goddamn garbage ideas and jargon used in different languages in different countries across the globe.
If you were a globalist elite hellbent on absolute control, you would certainly want everyone ainging from the same One Narrative hymnsheet:
This is why I love you: " You get the sense that even the most intensely committed proponents of One Health harbour a distant anxiety that their project doesn’t make any sense. As we will see, that anxiety is eminently justified."
A scientist who worked in the Soviet Union told me that every paper had to begin with a couple of pages explaining how wonderful communism is. And all the medieval chronicles had to begin with Genesis and the creation of the world and work up to current affairs. It's evidently a feature of totalitarian systems.
Looking at the photos of the staff/participants etc. - WHERE ARE THE WHITE WESTERNERS?????
Not a single one in sight!!!
Thank you - but no thank you!!!!
I have no interest in “obeying” the dictates of a body who would impose on Westerners a culture, religion, ideology etc that is totally foreign to our way of life!!!!
The Kansas school in the first picture just had the students who happened to be there; the woman pretending to explain "One Health" was white, and if you look closely, the cosplay guy in the whole-body protective over-suit is white - and they're the only authority figures in the photo. The student with the rucksack and blue shirt is nearly white, like the mug of coffee you'd make after a night of heavy drinking, when you just turn the milk carton upside down. So all in all, some quite serious whiteness going down there.
As for photographs 2 and 3, they were taken (apparently) in Malaysia, so the people are statistically just what you'd expect in a country that has never been a major centre of whiteness. They were celebrating a One Health grant from the US, extracted from millions of largely white taxpayers. Maybe they're grateful to the white taxpayers, or maybe only grateful to the darker taxpayers - I can't tell from their inscrutable smiles.
I had a guy in the comments here a while back who called himself something like "Pagan Nordic Warrior" (he told me I should kill myself). Maybe you and he could get together.
It seems we can agree: The medical profession in almost it's entirety is stupid. That's a shame for the medics who do know what they are doing, and swam against the Group Think.
I suggest this is only eclipsed by politicians, who rank somewhere between cold callers and people selling 'energy solutions'. For them the era of perpetual energy has indeed arrived.
Agree ... must be a sad state of affairs for so many physicians today. I am treated by a really first-rate doctor, but I can see he has sold his soul to the official narrative.
Status too ... I mean apart from material gain ... for me personally, I am convinced for many of these people, whether doctors, scientists etc ... they are in a very real sense not so different from religious fanatics. Their training and nearly universally admired and respected knowledge ... has made them proud and without the slightest doubt that their dogma is perfect. Correct. Pride is, as we all know, a very difficult sin to overcome.
Why do I have this intuitive gut-level feeling that "One Health," is really about "One World" control? When these people talk about humanity, the animal kingdom and the climate/environment being under one umbrella, they mean that nothing is outside of their bureaucracy of control. If they want to declare another "emergency" and suspend peoples' rights, there are almost unlimited options at their disposal to do so.
I can’t find any meaningful way that One Health puts any of these things under one umbrella, unless that umbrella is a fiction for the purposes of securing grant funding.
There was a time when humans actually had abilities, were able to make things, useful things, plant potatoes, carve a spoon out of a tree branch, weave a blanket ... in the 18th and early 19th centuries in Europe and the North American colonies, 10 year old schoolgirls embroidered samplers on linen whose sheer charm and beauty can demand 6-figure prices today at Sotheby's and Christies antique auctions in New York and London. People were good for something, served a purpose in their communities, had a material, tangible outlet for their innate skills and talents. Today we are adrift in a sea of verbiage. Air.
"Stupidity is an obnoxious, frustrating and yet very constant and obtrusive feature of the systems that rule us. I emphasise this quality because I think the accent of much dissident commentary is too much on the malicious, authoritarian and often evil nature of government in the West."
I agree 100%.
There are too many stupid people. They become well known, gain credibility through media propaganda, they gain a following. Then the second part of the ensemble is the protectors of the stupid. The cancelers, the punishers.
All of it is obnoxious. I am so very happy I grew up in the 60's and back then life was so fun.
I raised kiddos in the 80's and that was really pretty good too.
Living close to washington dc, not that close but suburbs further out, I had a few friends that had husbands that worked secret service for the president... Clinton. Now most of it is out, but she had stories back then that were shocking.
Governments do not care about us, our health our lives, our food supply, our commitments
our spending, They just want our taxes and they will tax us to death and give our money to stupid stupid organizations that believe they are promoting equality and happiness, equal happiness for all USING OUR MONEY.
I am hiding all of my money. These people need to leave us alone. They can get plenty of money from the stupid people, stick to that scheme and stop taxing the heck out of us.
Most of this spending world wide,, I am not in agreement with at all.
Once again, eternal thanks to eugyppius for reading this crap so we don't have to.
No! You need to read it for yourself. You may see things Eugippius does not see and you may come to different conclusions. Never cede your thought process.
You're right in principle, but I don't have enough bandwidth to read up on everything, so I'm happy to farm this out ;)
Ok..on your bike and tell us what you found after reading that trash..your time starts..now
One Health deserves to be abolished based soley on their abuse of academese jargon.
…and may his “dalliances with the Pandemic” remain a pale imitation of others one might imagine!
This is Soviet crap all over again. Every remotely scientific paper back then had a preamble attempting to rationalize how this paper on piglet survival statistics relates to the grand theory of Marx-Engels-Lenin.

Maid in Canada…
Good one!
Also, horrifying.
The party in this case is probably the WEF, UN and allied organizations standing in as the Bolshevik overlords
WEF is more like Communist International. Organize summits, give empty speeches, serve as a cover for spying/conspiracy activities.
And their Пятилетние планы, five year plans never ever failed.

My daughter broke her arm two years ago and I fixed it in three weeks without a plaster cast. There are always other options.
or need a kidney
But sometimes meds caused that problem
In Canada need the “shot” to get any transplant now!
even with evidence it is causing rejection?
They will deny it does…totally captured here
A regular dose of boron and drinking dandelion tea will go a looong way to prevention, which is better than butchery.
Yeah, they’ll bill your insurance company 12k for some gauze an X-ray and 1 hr labor for an orthopedist. Then 12 follow up visits.

For a guy like me, who manufactures things you can drop on your foot, the language and rhetoric of these "initiatives" is literally unintelligible.
I am stunned (and saddened) that people make entire careers out of regurgitating this crap.
The availability of chat GPT and AI will further empower these BS artists.
I am not far off from your point of view. I design industrial machinery, and have it built locally (not offshore). It's like living on a different planet sometimes.

Not starting "higher education" before age 25-30 would probably do wonders.
Work jobs for a few years, have a kid or three, build a family - then go study. Helps you keep it real.
And more physical exercise in school in general. Mens sana in corpore sano.
100%.
My technique involved avoiding higher education altogether. While more happenstance than intentional, I'm happy with the result :)
Me too. I kept dropping out until not being enrolled became the prevailing habit. I confess to a couple of college credits. One for a mail-order geology 101 course, the other for volunteering at a dinosaur dig, which was great fun.

That does sound like plenty of fun!
eliminate students with a background of abuse, as they are susceptible to the wiles of their Marxist profs
You think so? My observation is that all the people I know that resisted the covid nonsense HAVE a background of abuse. Which probably helped them to recognise it when it showed up with a different face.
Abuse is like fire. It can temper or shatter you.
Curiosity, courage and humility can counter the effects of too much education
But you need to realize a remedy is required.
Some regain their common sense though.
One must live long enough.
and be bent that way
There are little seeds of common sense in all of us but prolonged drought can prevent them from sprouting.
