Pages from three of the books I just moved – each one of them, I think, a good book.

Today, men came in a large truck and built bookshelves in the new offices of the plague chronicle. After they finished I spent many hours filling those shelves with books, which effort has left me rather tired and without a finished post for your amusement.

On the other hand, there is always the German Health Minister to amuse us. During his recent thrashing on evening television, Karl Lauterbach defended lockdowns by claiming that without them, a million Germans would’ve died. Wolfgang Kubicki, acting head of the FDP, gleefully used his parliamentary prerogatives to request that the Health Ministry justify this figure. This forced Lauterbach’s minions to reply that a million deaths is an “estimate” based on the insane assumption that pre-Omicron SARS-2 had a 1.15% fatality rate.

The 1.15% mortality rate also, likely, included those who were killed/damaged by the vax within 2 weeks of injections who were considered 'unvaxxed'. So............

It looks like they mistakenly placed a 1 in front of the true overall 0.15% infection fatality rate.
