Obama is showing how subversive he is. Shooter had a full manifesto and TDS social media trail, yet he claims "we don’t yet have the details about the motives". Same willful blindness with every Islamist terrorist attack.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

Yup. Disgusting individual.

The 3rd world has become the new 1st world.

The reason they hate trump is he is delegitimizing the system. He was never going to save us. He just made the ruling class look like fools.

Whatever comes next this was a necessary revelation.

The reason they're going postal is it took the left 100 years to "long march" through the institutions. We are a year and a half into this administration.

The Great lightbringer Obama was supposed to be the greatest president since Washington . He has been totally delegitimized and will now be a footnote in history.

Its just one long tired toddler tantrum turned terrorism

Andreas Stullkowski's avatar

"Lightbringer" is the translation of "Lucifer".

Check out this headline from Axios (just one of dozens in publications today)

"Trump officials believed to be WHCD gunman's target, acting AG says"

No. You fucking dumbasses this is what the assailant said

Michelle Dostie's avatar

Blanche repeated it when Trump gave him the pulpit.

SCA's avatar

Lucifer is a very greatly slandered figure.

Andreas Stullkowski's avatar

Yes, everyone who learns more about cannot help to admire him.

This is why "PAradise Lost" is a great read, and "Paradise Regained" boring.

Even in the bible he is not really the bad guy; just the smart, non-conforming one.

SCA's avatar

His role in the Bible is that of God's Prosecutor General.

But also the adventurous one, tempting man with the freedom of knowledge and independence.

Two things to add:

Obama’s election is proof positive that America is not racist in any meaningful way. Although it is regrettable that anyone thought that needed to be proved.

Yes, otherwise Obama will be forgotten in history, except for some bad things.

Also: Obama at least pretends to be a Christian, guided by Rev Wright. For those who know Rev Wright, …well, we might say: one hand giveth and the other hand takes away. That is, if indeed Obama is Christian I guess that’s far better than being Muslim (Argh! As a younger man I loved Islam and particularly the tolerant version of its culture in many lands. The world owes much to that culture; eg, they kept the Greek light while the West wandered around in the dark ages. But there now are so many Muslims who seem to want only to hate, kill, and destroy. By far not all, but it seems a strong trend these days. (Persia is a complicated case.). Ok, Rev Wright was a strong leftist who hated America and wanted to destroy it. And Obama chose HIS church to go to. Wow! Very telling.

Ray Noack's avatar

We never found out how Obama “ happened “ in 2008 . A pot smoking , coke snorting homosexual with no background was elected president and his opponent John McCain told a town Hall . “ Obama is a decent family man . An American born in the USA “…and this coming from …his opponent . Strange

Henrybowman's avatar

I distinctly remember being in the room where (on a TV) the D convention was in the process of nominating John Kerry, and hearing that the nomination speech would now be given by... who? Who the hell is Barack Obama? Nobody in the room had ever heard of him. My very first thought at this moment was, "This yutz is being groomed for something else, and this is his coming-out party." The donks are all about the selection before (or preferably instead of) the election.

Mark Bob's avatar

I remember that. And, actually, the CNN anchor covering it said exactly that. So, everyone knew at the time that they were staging Obama for 2008.

Henrybowman's avatar

Ah, then perhaps that is why it was my first thought! Sure was nice of CNN to expose the Dems' machinations ahead of time for all to see.

Michelle Dostie's avatar

I remember that speech too. Excellent.

Joseph Little's avatar

Here I think is the key difference:

- the left has LOTS of people talking about violence to the right and how that is justified. Ex: Obama, Jeffries, many others. Fairly important people.

And then weak-minded people pick it up and act on it.

- the right has far more (than the left) senior voices talking about non-violence. None talking about violence, although maybe some people could think so. If there are any significant “fringe” voices on the right talking about violence to the left, I am unaware.

The right also has some weak-minded people. But remarkably, almost none that act on the violent words or even take revenge.

Yes, maybe a few nut cases — maybe “on the right” in some sense, but generally not accepted, eg, by anyone in the MAGA movement.

Further, the left has antifa and other groups supported by NGOs and leftist donors. They will violently “demonstrate” at the drop of a hat. These people are by no means expelled from the Dem base.

Whereas, there are some groups — arguably on the right — that act “tough” from time to time, but essentially do no violence compared to Antifa and such.

Yes, at the Jan 6 protest there were some rioters. Some even got into Rugby style rough-housing. But none brought a gun to the demonstration, and no guns were ever used, except that a Capital policeman shot and killed an unarmed woman (who was demonstrating, and did enter the Capitol).

Regarding that rioting, we do know there were infiltrators from the FBI and perhaps others. Who egged them on. How much this forgives any “bodily harm” on that day might be debated.

It is a bit complicated. But it is clear that violence on the left is a far bigger problem than any violence on the right. And on the Left that violence is supported or at least not rebuked by lots of senior Democrats and big donors. This is egregious and unacceptable.

And should be a sufficient reason for every thoughtful person NOT to vote for Democrats. For this issue of violence alone.

But the Dem party has other egregious sins. We will name two.

1. Endless lies and overt actions against freedom of speech.

2. A shocking amount of corruption. That is well-known to many members of the Party and they take no action. Cf the recent reporting of all kinds of fraud in New York and California.

There is much more, but each of those three is, each one, sufficient to dismiss the Democrat party to the ash heap of history.

Ok. Never vote for a Democrat again. They might vote for a “New Democrat” party (eg, the Greens (I do not recommend their policies at all) or a new party that does not exist yet).

There are good people who are still Democrats, and I urge them, they must start a new party, because the stain and stench on the current Democrat party is too great.

This is not to say Trump is perfect. Nor that every Republican is an upstanding citizen. But there just is no comparison. The Democrat party is hopelessly lost.

This handling of this most recent assassin is just one more drop on the stain and stench that the Democrat party already has.

Mark Bob's avatar

Obama signals to his idiot followers that it's OK to use Orwellian doublespeak in this matter. Once he gives the OK, that's all you hear from the various CNN guests. Heck, only a few hours after the event, CNN had on a Professor in Critical Theory and Social Justice from Occidental College (yes, it's true!) to explain all of us ignorant masses exactly what happened and why it happened. Of course, the event of that night, as are all events perpetrated by progressive dorks, was the fault of the white American male.

John Wygertz's avatar

The Bluesky reaction to this, like the reactions to October 7, the Kirk assassination, etc. was as predictable as it was despicable. This is why I left Portland - these people don't just dislike us, they want us dead.

Scott Adam's was right:

They will hunt us down like prey when they get back in power

Tank Hough's avatar

Susan Rice said exactly that recently. She warned all MAGA that 'they' will seek them out for retribution. She is one of the most dangerous people in the US along with 'dead eyes' Haaakkkeem Jeffries and of course 0bama the fraud. All of them hate white America.

Fabes55's avatar

I think the leftist stay in their bubble, and are ga-ga whenever you ask them to explain things like this.

On some topics where the people do not have “solid” “religious” pre-conceptions, you can talk to them. Not unreasonable.

So, I am hopeful that as reality wears away all their stupid theories, people in America will find a large group with similar values who want America to succeed, and to improve.

That is, I am somewhat more hopeful than you.

Remember, not everyone in Portland is like the crazed people downtown. Also, Portland on average is fairly lefttard. Far from the first city in America to return to normal.

Let me summarize the manifesto:

"CNN made me do it!"

Yesterday morning I just wanted to enjoy my coffee first before beta dudes with TDS started soaking through their tampons about it being staged.

They might just have well said:

"the assassination attempt was staged and I'm sad it didn't succeed.'

Make it make sense!

To have a room full of "journalists" they trust serve as witnesses to a failed assassination attempt and STILL see so many theoretically normal people speculate about whether it was staged reveals the true depths of Trump Derangement Syndrome delusion in our culture.

Rosemary B's avatar

and before they left the venue, they helped themselves to many of the bottles of wine to take home and enjoy

Ryan Gardner's avatar

Right?! They just didn't steal them they were chugging the wine out of the bottle.

There can be no better illustration of how completely out of touch they are.

These are the same people screaming about Patel being a lush!

Rikard's avatar

They were protecting the climate.

If they hadn't taken the bottles, they'd instead have bought new ones, and the already opened ones would have been poured out.

On a serious note:

The next attempt on Trump, which will come after November if the Democrats don't gain the House, will be not one but a swarm of attackers, Julius Ceasar-style.

After that if it fails will come the car-bombs; either in the vehicle itself, or in the street (manholes f.e.).

Growing up in Europe in the 1970s taught you a lot about political terrorism. One thing, the most important one: they won't stop until they are killed or imprisoned for life, in isolation.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

Ha!

Absolutely right. The Left has detonated 3 bombs on the Senate floor in the last 70 years.

The left went from funding the KKK to another assassination attempt—all in one week.

Imagine 2 years from now

As you know Marxism explicitly advocates for the use of revolutionary violence to overthrow existing systems; framing it as a necessary tool to hasten the birth of a new society.

Both Marx and Lenin emphasized that an existing system would not cede power voluntarily, thus making force or "revolutionary terror" inevitable.

This is just how Marxism works. Whether it be the 30's, 70's or now.

The wine at the 2026 White House Correspondents' Dinner was funded through ticket sales and donations to the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA), with some cases contributed by brands. These may be, thankfully and hopefully, their best. Soaking in fever-swamps of self-delusion mandating a slew of internally inconsistent impossibilities as indisputable yet mutable TRVTH may not be a great way to develop cognitive competencies. It just might degrade ability to think, foresee consequences, learn, or recognize two-by-fours of reality about to smack a fool on the back of his head. I don't know if any of these loons were arguably competent at some point in the past. But it seems the DemProgUnipartyYuroTard attempt to make at least a segment of their voters really stupid hasn't been entirely unsuccessful.

Secret Service definitely has a problem. This is the 3rd time an attempt was made through the “outer perimeter” of security (Crooks - roof, Routh- fence line at golf course, Allen- metal detectors without even velvet ropes to slow him down as mentioned by Jeff Childers). The security genuinely sucks. The Epstein nonsense has devolved into TikTok brainrot for people, it is totally nonsensical and it is definitely leading to more violence. Obama and the Democrats/media have normalized extreme violence against conservatives and I have no idea how that can be stopped unless these jokers are shot dead live on tv as they try to commit these horrible acts. How do you get through the brainrot brainwashing? they even targeted Russ Vought (who is a genius, but I mean, how do the brainrot kids even know about him unless someone is specifically highlighting him?)

Link to chubby Secret Service lady from Butler at the Hilton attempt, sigh

Maybe we need an energetic German grandma in charge of security.

It seemed to me more of the classic American way of day-dreaming-at-life. Hello, wake up. There is real evil in the world.

The other option would be a grandma from the hood. On 2nd thought she might even be the better choice.

Charlotte's avatar

We have top notch Delta squads and Green Berets that would be itching to get a post with Secret Service. Those guys would have snipers even in the entrance, they’d never have a chance in Hell.Instead, we get chubby lady who struggles to get her gun holstered around her round frame.

Jules's avatar

I agree that this is exactly what we need. It is the obvious choice and I don't get it why we don't have it alreay.

My grandma comments were more tongue-in-cheek.

Charlotte's avatar

Russ is an absolute gem.

Tardigrade's avatar

'I have no idea how that can be stopped unless these jokers are shot dead live on tv'

Charlotte's avatar

I’m unsure. I think they are living in a video game/ facebook/bluesky simulation where they don’t see actual consequences to their actions. We need to see their families spat on and humiliated so they see the shame they bring upon their loved ones.

Henrybowman's avatar

The DSM is going the other way. Any time a disorder gets trendy enough, they normalize it.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

history will record it as parareligion with a cross between the tulip craze, the Salem witch trials, and a cargo cult

Rikard's avatar

What the crowd talking about staged assassinations don't understand - beyond lots of technical details, all of which would leave clues - is this:

How does the target know the assigned shooter isn't an agent for his/her enemies?

The obvious, almost Occam-obvious answer is of course "the target can't know that".

Try it on the people claiming it was staged, see what they say.

I've even heard hunters arguing "I could have made that shot" about when the wind-shear nicked Trump's ear, claiming it must have been faked because the shot missed. "I've downed mooses at far longer distances" was one thunderously stupid comment I heard.

Yah, I too could have "made the shot" from a prone position.

If: the target was stationary, if there was no wind, and if I was at the range and not in danger.

A roof overlooking a stage even from far away, and a target moving all the time isn't that.

PS:

(A pop-cultural aside: so-called reaction-videos to movies is a guilty pleasure of mine of late. When people watch The Thing (the Carpenter remake) they never fail to remark "what a poor shot" the Norwegian is. This includes Americans - apparently, people in general think that wearing gloves designed to protect against Antarctic cold, and snowglasses, and riding a helicopter, and trying to hit a running dog at 100 yards or more, is easy. I blame computer games for this stupidity.)

DS

WillyH's avatar

Yeah, like in the westerns they used to make. Guys shooting Indians off of running horses at ranges in excess of 60 yards with the Colt revolvers they used then. Sure you could.

Henrybowman's avatar

I proposed yesterday that Trump announce that due to attrition in the Secret Service caused directly by congressional inaction suspending agents' pay, agents will be transferred from protection of Democratic congressmen to cover (Republican) executive officials.

Alistair Penbroke's avatar

Nah he'll be fine. The Current Thing will instantly move on to JD Vance or whoever and the Blueskists will instantly forget about him. I mean I remember the Bush years and he got nearly as much hatred as Trump, just incredibly vile attacks on him by the left. How much does he have to worry about them now? Not at all, they're all focused on the Current Thing.

Jeff's avatar

His private security will be better and more reliable

WillyH's avatar

Probably better shots at least. Notice that the attempted assassin hit the agent he shot at, but the agents failed to hit him.

Dave S's avatar

But I do find it odd that this loser wasn't just shot dead auf der Stelle/on the spot.

Tardigrade's avatar

I'm just happy we have a live perp rather than a dead martyr.

Henrybowman's avatar

Yes, this is an important point. The only safe patsy is a dead patsy. If the patsy fails to die this time, anyone who groomed him remains exposed.

Americans are tired of blood being hosed off the Butler roof before the corpse is cold, the door to the Waco compound (showing the directions of all the bullet holes) going mysteriously missing, and people who benefited from the untimely death of another president being seated on the committee investigating his death. Not having evidence is frustrating, having it deliberately destroyed is becoming SOP.

Ryan Gardner's avatar

Exactly. Good point. Or may have another "summer of love"

Tardigrade's avatar

My idea kind of backfires when you consider Luigi.

Henrybowman's avatar

Luigi is an outlying case. One can imagine a hundred reasons for The Swamp to want Donald dead. But a successful and cooperative co-conspirator in the federal healthcare scam? Probably not the same mechanism.

Trish's avatar

My thoughts exactly. Those agents are trained to neutralize the target, how/why did 6 of them miss? If there were 5 or 6 shots fired, were they from the assailant’s gun? We know he shot one Secret Service agent, what about the other shots, did he fire them or did the Agents?

Peter Hönig's avatar

We know someone shot a SS agent. We‘ll never know if it was friendly fire.

Henrybowman's avatar

It will surely BE known... unless your point is that we won't be told.
