A pleasing and honest assessment on your part. Just what the doctor would order. Thank you, I for one needed this tonic. Love.

An oppressed black lion that failed its lion test ten times. Give that lion a million dollars to build his esteem please.

Precisely! I mean, did anyone bother to ask the bore...er, boar?

If there were several boars identifying as lions then they could have a PRIDE parade!

I hope for the sake of the German people that they take this seriously and wear their masks, but not the blue ones as everyone knows that lions hate the blue ones.

Can Drosten please be paged for an anti-lion potion?

That lion danger is more deadly than the war in the Ukraine .It will spread all over Germany and the European union .Now Germany would need the Panzers they gave away to fight the Russians ,when they would be needed to save lives .Germany is at the mercy of deadly lions .

They will need to find a new tank as Leopards won't do. Lions regularly kill Leopards. Maybe they can get an Elephant out of a WWII museum. Everyone knows that even an entire pride of lions won't mess with an Elephant.

Will LeBron use his celebrity stature to finally raise awareness about vaccine injuries and deaths? This is probably not going to happen. These people are NOT like you and me … which is a tad disconcerting … actually this is scary as hell ….

Which made me think of all the other observations I’ve made over the past 40 months that seem surreal and also scare the daylights out of me. So, as I’m prone to do, I made a list:

I used to think these vehicles were overkill until the BLM riots got within a mile of my home. There’s nothing like seeing your local Target store going up in flames to trigger a reassessment. Even the police chief was trapped in a cop car with three other cops as the peaceful protesters tried to overturn the vehicle. I think the rioters were angry about our black mayor, black city manager, and black police chief being racist oppressors.

Between the age of 5 and 10, I read several books with illustrations of lions, and since then, I've seen many movies with the MGM opening titles. Setting false modesty aside, I believe these experiences have endowed me with considerable expertise in the field of lionology, and I must therefore add my voice to that of expert veterinarian Michaela Ebeling.

Not only is this definitely a lioness, but we can be near certain that it is carrying a new deadly strain of Covid. It has clearly escaped from the Potsdam-Mittelmarkt district by now, and nothing short of a general lockdown in Germany can address the gravity of this crisis. AfD members and voters should be placed in detention indefintely as a precautionary measure, since they are a potential source of assistance to the lioness.

Since the lioness belongs to a protected species, it can on no account be shot or molested in any way. German citizens will have to stay home and stay safe on a permanent basis. Brussels can periodically review the need for an extension of safety policies beyond the German borders. The German borders will, of course, remain open to all seeking asylum, including lions.

I am so relieved to have your expert input ... I was considering a holiday in Germany but will definitely be choosing a safer place. Thank you for saving my life!

It would seem that our beloved Authorities became so profoundly addicted to their Fear Crack-Pipes during the Great Pseudo-Plague (and the intoxicatingly thrilling highs of unfettered power it granted them) that they're now suffering agonising withdrawal symptoms. They appear to be in 'Cold Turkey', replete with hallucinations of marauding monsters, so frantic are they to get everyone terrified again and returning to their plague-bunkers in self-imposed isolation.

Unfortunately, the poor souls appear instead to have prompted a bored shrug and a yawn from ordinary people, who may in their behaviour if not yet their conscious thinking be signalling "Oh bog off, you silly, self-important panic pornographers; we're sick of your swivel-eyed hysterics and we're wise to them."

I’m waiting for your minister of health to opine that the lion is carrying a deadly strain of felinepox, a newly discovered relative of monkeypox, that could threaten the whole world if Germany doesn’t close its borders and completely shutdown until this critter can be caught and the entire country jabbed with now underdevelopment vaccine that’s part of Operartion BlitzVax!

Well, I think that a bit of social distancing would allow the lioness to eat only one German at a time. So please practice. Has a task force been set up by the way? Has the imperial college published any model of expected casualties from the lioness if we don’t lock down? Any track and trace app available?

Well at least we are comforted, lioness or boar, by the general overall compliance of the German citizenry to follow the mayors orders.

Do you have big wild cats in Germany or in Europe? Cougars/Pumas/Mountain Lions have attacked and killed people in the US. It's rare, but it happens. Alligators have killed a few people in Florida this year. They just photographed an Eastern Coyote ( a coyote-wolf hybrid) in the neighborhood I grew up in suburban Philadelphia. They've returned to the area and have killed some pets. And, of course, because we're crazy in the US, we do occasionally hear about a lion or tiger on the loose in some neighborhood...or bears playing on the backyard swing set or trampoline.

It could happen. There's still hope. :)

Expand full comment

the biggest is the lynx - maybe same size as a north american bobcat, and in germany there are very few of them. not threatening to humans of course & very retiring. but maybe there will turn to be a lion after all. if there is one at large i really hope it eats a journalist.

about one eighth of the size. When I moved here to south GA there was a bobcat in the neighborhood, it was so shy that, once it knew the house inhabited again, it did no longer show up. Bobcat little bigger than a house cat

I was driving out to a friend's house in rural New Mexico early one morning, I'm doing 55 mph down the highway, when all of a sudden a deer sprinted across the road with full grown mountain lion right behind it. Fortunately for both myself and my car, I hit neither of them. That was a big kitty, though.

Wow!! while living in AZ I went to the mailbox, which stood at the end of our street on the main dust road, and saw a mountain lion passing the boxes. I waited quite a bit, and when my ex came home, asked him if this could really have been one. He said yes, now and then an old one, too old to hunt, comes down the mountains and will sneak on to a pet. Now living in GA, I sometimes read about bears in the north, and several people closer by have seen coyotes. But so far the most dangerous I 've seen were some wild boar, specially the mom with a baby. I stay way out of their way! Oh and we got some snakes of course LOL

Writing from South AFRICA!!! ROAR!!! Part of the continent that so many fondly imagine is where there's a lion behind every bush. Sorry to disappoint but even rural villagers are 99% unlikely to encounter 1 and city dwellers even less so. Please send us some from The Small Town In Germany.

We do have coyotes where I live, they moved in about 25 years ago. A few weeks ago, one was walking down the street next to mine in the evening. Sadly, I missed it, but I saw a video on social media and heard from several people who did see it. Every time there's a sighting, people act as if a pack of wild wolves had descended from the frozen tundra, ready to eat everything in their path. Where my mother lives, BEARS occasionally make it to neighborhoods. She doesn't live near a lot of bears, so this is very exciting for everyone. But so far no one has sent out a tank.

The U.S. is gargantuan with many different biomes, and vast untamed wilderness. A lion (puma) in the backyards of parts of North America's temperate rainforests is uncommon, but does happen. I've seen one with my own eyes, and yes, have photographs.

In PA as well. I see at least one a month and have had them on my deck several times.

Berries in season now so will become even more common.

Never had one not lumber away once they saw me.

Mindful to not get near Momma and cubs though.

Hear the coyotes regularly but only saw one from afar.

More worried about skunks.
