I’m just struggling to understand how the EU, which in a short while (20 years) became such a huge regulatory institution with rules about everything, but it doesn’t have any rules about defending basic borders or how to handle one Schengen country who allows unmitigated immigration, to the consternation of the other member countries. I guess it just affirms that the EU regulatory body is one big pile of steaming hot air and taxes. Still hoping I will be alive when the EU bloc is undone and Schengen falls (or at least is only open to a smaller group of more reasonable countries).
Im afraid the lesson the leftist retards in America will take away from the Ceuta debacle is that letting in 20 million illegals in 4 years wasn't enough to abolish our sovereignty.
Hopefully, there won't be a "next time". But I can't help but think that some Republicans were complicit thinking that it would be to their benefit to allow the Dems hang themselves, even at the risk of ultimately destroying the country.
Its a question of motivation eugyppius. Drive too fast? Build without a permit? Operate a business outside your granted license? Witness the hammer of god descend upon you
The crimes of the so-called helpless? Boring. Its like issuing fines to crows. The crows just dont care
Do you remember back in 2012 or so that little Syrian kid who drowned on a Turkish beach? Or was collected there.. not important. But I donated back then to one of those private ship outfits that sail around and rescue ppl. Knowing what I know now I wouldnt have, but a lot of people are immune to evidence...
They have a model of their post-national world inside their minds. Global socialism, basically. They imagine they will remain at the top of the hierarchy rather than be discarded, which is more likely.
Their contempt for their fellow countrymen will be their undoing. Their disdain for nations is like abandoning your house because luxury hotels are nicer. Fine at first. Then you realize they are all the same, and none of them are yours. You share them with everyone even if they are luxurious. The luxury cannot compete with home comforts. Eventually we all yearn to hear people speak our own language and even our own accents.
Our leaders are failing to maintain our homes. Simple as that.
The world does not view openness, generosity and compassion as we do. Gad Saad talked about this with a friend from the Middle East. The Arabs view us as simply weak. They would never allow mass immigration. There is no empathy or compassion there. It is exploitation all the way down. You were a fool to let them in. Numerous videos of first and second-gen immigrants in our nations quite open about how stupid we are.
The problem, really, for an unprecedented-in-world-history percentage of the general population everywhere in the West that perceives itself as educated and sophisticated and with far too much time on its hands or meandering through its brain cells is that the basic truths of how to build and sustain civilizations were recognized thousands of years ago, and nothing has changed about human nature.
These truths are stark. You take care of your own and you prevent with every means available to you the attempts of others to encroach upon and supplant your own. If you don't disaster will engulf you.
You're so right, human nature hasn't changed a bit in thousands of years. My husband is reading Aristotle, and he's reading to me the parts about the Greeks experimenting with various political systems, including the variations of democracy. It's amazing to see that the political scams and manipulations haven't changed at all in what?, 2,000 years. God bless the ancient Greeks, they were seriously trying to figure out how to have a decent, fair, political system.
We do indeed know that there are some fundamental rules, like protect your own, defend yourselves against aggressive intruders. Pretty simple. I hope the cureent day humans realize this and stand up to defend themselves soon, before it has to become a holocaust. The worse the problem gets, the worse the solution will be.
As expected from Reality, the whole thing’s a mess. Two rays of sunshine though:
- The initial footage was genuinely shocking and not even the most pro-migration media outlets could summon the energy to selectively edit in search of an Alan Kurdi moment.
- Sanchez’s government is busy pointing out that Meloni’s government has allowed bigger cross-Med flows (over longer periods of time), i.e. absolutely no one now denies that these events are bad for Europe.
Reported for spreading fake news to the EU Digital Service Act authorities! Queen Ursula just praised the efforts of Spanish authorities and thanked Morocco for the cooperation in the swift return of these migrants. So it is just a matter of other EU countries needing to show more of that magic ‘solidarity’ with Spain and mr. Pedro!
They should have been shot by Spanish soldiers as soon as they bum rushed the border. I guarantee that once the first burst of machine gun fire struck home, the "mass migration" would have ended. Nations have every right to defend their borders with deadly force.
The entire book is now serialized on my Substack, for those who are unwilling to pay the rather modest printing fee (which seems to be everybody). I have taken this unusual step because I believe the content is very timely and important, but so far it has not garnered any response. Please like, share, subscribe, restack, and do whatever else it is people do on social media, but most of all, just read the damn thing.

I think we are learning there aren't any reasonable countries though a few reasonable people can be found everywhere.

White liberal females hand out bottled water to these savages like its a zoo break of cute little animals.
I've seen less terrifying scenes in apocalyptic zombie movies.

Well that was before there were state sanctioned invasions from shithole countries
No one else will date them.

Whaaaat? You don't find this attractive?!
Nothing compared to the invasion of the United States under FJB and Mayorkas. Same as landing flares for the japs at Pearl Harbor. Treasonous.
Here in America, we do everything bigger and better (or worse).
It’s beyond funny that the EU is so busy regulating the curvature of bananas* that they don’t have time for irrelevancies like borders.
*Yes, slightly exaggerated, but makes the point. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commission_Regulation_(EC)_No._2257/94#
One of my UK friends mentioned them bananas to me a few years ago and I sat here shaking my head. Giving bureaucrats busywork is a bad strategy.
Queen Isabella solved this for Spain in 1492. All sent home.
So what you're saying is everything will be fine 800 years from now?!...;)
Ha, no but the Battle of Granada in 1492 changed Spain. It took years to move the Muslims out. But it worked.
w.r. is saying that it's not impossible to simply and indiscriminately deport every last one of them.
Yeah I know what hes saying im just being silly.
The question is do we have the intestinal fortitude to do so.
The last time Spain was relevant, apparently.
I guess They just want to rule over the ashes, I can't think of another logical explanation.

They'll be the Philosopher King, not ditch digger #93
Migrants? Might as well call them what they are, invaders.

There aren't any permanent solutions. But doing one's best by the people nearest to one is a good principle.

2015 is ancient history, in short.
I have a stupid question: How did The NY Times know to have reporters "on the ground"?
This was obviously arranged by someone or something bigger than just a random social media group.

Where are the old East German guards when we need them?
Their rifles were pointed at their own people. But I understand the sentiment.
This was the scene of the US southern border from 2020 through most of 2024. Except that the US Democrats bused the invaders all over the country.
In America, we do everything better and more efficiently -- even screwing up.
All true about weakness. But who knows, maybe one day we will learn also about interests of certain geopolitical actors.....
Henry IV, Part 2,
I cut them off and had a purpose now
To lead out many to the Holy Land,
Lest rest and lying still might make them look
Too near unto my state. Therefore, my Harry,
Be it thy course to busy giddy minds
With foreign quarrels…
