I’m not that old, nor am I young...65...and I have never taken a flu shot in my life and have zero intentions of ever getting one. Common sense, at least a moderately healthy lifestyle and selected vitamin and other supplements go a long way to confounding the wishes of our Evil Overlords that we all live in fear, and a goodly number of us perish, at these invisible menaces.
I hate these people beyond reason and can find no way to sympathize, empathize, or otherwise find any common human ground with them. I would like to be rid of these mad dishonest hypochondriacs once and for all.
I've noted that there's a certain segment of society that believes that illness--ANY illness--is completely avoidable.
These are the runners, the compulsive exercise enthusiasts, and the diet fanatics. (They are the ones who lecture about the annual Coca-Cola or semi-annual chocolate chip cookie.)
To be sure: it's GOOD to exercise. It's GOOD to eat a sensible diet. It's GOOD to take reasonable precautions (hand washing at the very least).
But this group of neurotics seem to believe that ALL illnesses are preventable. And if they employ these techniques they'll achieve immortality.
And these are the people who believe the nonsense spewed by the quacks cited in this report.
Here's my observation: EVERYONE will get sick at some point in their lives. And....drum-roll please...
We live in a media universe that catastrophizes everything. Weather? Remember when the forecast was just the forecast and storms came and went? Now every single weather event is a potential life-ending event wrapped in the shroud of Climate Change. All sectors of media are dependent on click bait "we're all gonna die" headlines because the whole business model is dependent on selling advertisements.

Wow. Just wow. What the covid cult should have learned is that flu-like approaches are ineffective. In fact, these lessons, learned in studying flu for decades, and written down in the WHO's "influenza guidance," went directly against the NPI's and other shibboleths of the covid narrative. And yet, here we are, with media and journalists saying exactly the opposite, with a straight face. *FacePalm*
So, they're piggybacking on the Covid Craze hoping it might lead them too new green pastures of funding and prestige. Yay. Aren't we lucky.
Looking around, however, I agree with Eugyppius' assessment that people are not going to let themselves be led into a new flu craze. Everybody is exhausted, almost nobody wants to mask up or hear Lauterbach speak once more, and there is so much backtracking from Covidians ("I was against school closures from the beginning!", "I always felt that the interests of children and young people...", "Mistakes have been made.") that even the most naive and credulous German must have groked that maybe, just maybe, they fucked up the response to Covid the teeniest bit.
So apparently euthanasia is "in" and promoted, but we must go to extreme lengths to protect fragile elderly people whose bodies are just waiting for the next medical insult to give in to death. There are things worse than death.
If what they're calling 'long flu' symptoms is real, then what we just witnessed as long covid is the same thing! Covid was the flu that mysteriously disappeared during supposed 'covid'? He who develops the tests controls the narrative. And remember, the tests picked up fragments of anything cold/flu/virus whatever. Wonder how many ppl were taken advantage of by the test kits? That is why the govt sent them to every household free?? To turn the masses into hypocondriacs. Matters not what they really contracted, they simply had their virtue signaling test result to prove their victimhood. Everyone wants to be a victim these days. Remember the days when you got sick and you simply stayed home and doctored yourself and got well and resumed life? No one cared what they had or needed a label to show to the world. It simply an identity crisis, ppl do not have an identity of their own, they are looking for external gratification and approval. A never ending black hole and a sure fire way to get taken advantage of. You act like a victim and you're gonna get what you wish for, to be victimized.
