It's good to have a contingency plan. But I'm feeling rather optimistic, with things like Substack making their post on the matter, and Joe Rogan winning over Neil Young. Also, hearing that Gavin Newsom is vacillating regarding covid vaccine requirements for children. I was more surprised when he did the super pro-vaccine stance, full well knowing that he personally has antivax friends in his social circle. The anti-science Operation Warp Speed marketing campaign has been a smashing success in its attack on science, and it looks to me as though we are on the winning side - and it will soon be clear to everyone that we are.

So glad you have a backup plan. I’m wondering if there has been any indication that the attacks on Substack might be attracting people to it who didn’t know of its existence or whose curiosity revealed to them what great writers it has? You know, like the Streisand effect? Such backfiring would be nice.
That we are even having this conversation in a Western democracy shows just how low things have got in the last two years.
Am hoping for the Streisand Effect in that more people are now aware of something called Substack and are checking it out.

It is insane that free citizens in the Western world should have to take such counter measures just to preserve peaceful speech and discussion.
