Not sure if it might be safer for you here in the US but I have a spare room ! I really am concerned about your safety. If for a week or more we do not hear from you, who is to report what happened! Do not become a second Reiner Fuelmilch please.

We're getting the same stupid laws up here. The intention is to help save public servants from harassment; the reality is that law is being used to stop people critising them. Police, especially.

Worse, our knife-law is now so rubbery a construction worker on his day off, but who has left his tool-box in his car, may be brought up on charges for violating the law. As can a fisher, a scout, or pretty much anyone the police and the prosecutor wants to harass.

Meaning any Swede they want to harass, needless to say.

In other news, last year a Swedish senior made a joke on FB. He asked is "muslim" was a glue for glueing mice to things. "mus" = mouse, "lim" = glue. He got convicted for hate speech.

Juxtapose this with the case of the Arab man who encountering a Swedish Jew, a journalist, greeted him with screaming "Hail Victory!" in attempted German, including the gesture, spat at the journalist, and finally yelled "Fucking Jew" while pointing. Outside a railroad station in a town centre at midday among lots of people.

The prosecutor - despite photo evidence - dropped the case completely. Reason: "the message hadn't been spread to enough people.

Our hate speech law stipulates that a phrase or a word must have been spread to "enough people" for it to count, but the law makes no mention of how many that is, or what the time scale involved is.

In reality, this is of course nothing but a female feminist prosecutor afraid of causing career-critical controversy for trying a non-Swedish person harassing a Swedish Jew (one of the increasingly few remaining in Sweden, thanks to moslems and "CO2mmies).
